Custom does not mean undefined
Specify the exception before pricing the machine.
A custom build starts with a written workload, data route, service pattern and site constraint. It does not start with the maximum number of GPUs a chassis can hold.
Use a custom specification when model memory, networking, storage, facility or support requirements fall outside the six reference points.
Inputs we need
Do not send source documents, prompts, credentials or personal data at this stage.
- Representative model family and quantisation
- Context, response and concurrency expectations
- Data sensitivity and permitted network route
- Storage, backup and integration assumptions
- Rack, power, cooling, noise and remote-access conditions
- Acceptance tests and internal technical owner
What happens next
We turn the brief into an exact bill of materials, supplier and warranty position, site pre-flight, acceptance criteria, delivery boundary and time-limited quotation.
Look beyond the GPU count.
Chassis layout, airflow, remote management and service access can matter as much as headline memory. The exact ordered build still needs written validation.
